Accept only drawn signatures

The signature field allows signers to type a signature, upload a signature image, or draw a signature on the canvas. However, there are instances where a handwritten signature is required, for a personal touch and authenticity that typed text cannot replicate. To accommodate this need, it’s possible to adjust the settings of the signature field to opt for a drawn signature option.

To make a drawn signature mandatory:

  1. Click on the settings icon ( ) located on the right side of the field within the form builder interface.
  2. Within the settings menu, you’ll find a signature format selector.
  3. Select Drawn option from the dropdown.

Also it’s possible to disable the typed text signature type for their entire account via the Settings / Account page.

By offering this flexibility in signature options, users can ensure documents are signed in the most appropriate and professional manner, whether it be through typed text, uploaded image, or drawn signature.
