The DocuSeal Certificate of Signature, also referred to as the Audit Log, is a digitally generated record that accompanies every document completed through the DocuSeal platform. It provides a verifiable history of the signing process and serves as an integrity and authenticity record for legal and compliance purposes.
The Certificate of Signature is automatically generated once all participants have completed their signing actions and the document reaches a completed state. It is stored with the finalized document and remains accessible for download by the document owner or other authorized signers (if the document owner allows it).
Each certificate includes detailed metadata for every signer and signing event, including:

In legal or regulatory proceedings, the certificate can be presented as evidence of:
Together with the signed document, the Certificate of Signature forms a legally admissible proof of execution under applicable electronic signature laws.
